Sam Darnold and the Carolina Panthers are rolling against the Denver Broncos in Week 12 . . . literally.
On their first touch of the second half, the Panthers took just over six minutes to piece together a 10-play, 72-yard touchdown drive. And that drive ended with a very odd exclamation point, courtesy of Carolina’s newest starting quarterback . . .

Darnold, from Denver’s 2-yard line, was stripped on his rushing attempt by linebacker Josey Jewell. But luckily for Darnold, he was able to recover—jumping back on the pigskin and rolling into the end zone for six points.
The score helped give the Panthers a 17-3 lead at the 7:21 mark of the third quarter. It was also Darnold’s sixth rushing touchdown over the past two seasons, eclipsing the five he amassed in his three previous campaigns with the New York Jets.
To that point, the fifth-year passer also completed nine of his 15 throws for 104 yards and a touchdown.
