We already know, even a few months into his first year as head coach of the Carolina Panthers, that Dave Canales is very hands-on. But now, we know that his active approach extends well beyond the playing field.
On Tuesday night, the team’s social media squad released a clip of Canales joining in on the annual rookie talent show. The 43-year-old decided to show off the pipes, singing his rendition of “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley and the Wailers.

Perhaps that performance shouldn’t come as a surprise. Carolina’s 2024 third-round pick and rookie linebacker Trevin Wallace actually revealed to reporters this past week that Canales performed for the team—even praising his coach for his skills.
“I ain’t gonna lie. I got a little scared,” Wallace said last Tuesday. “He almost sounded better me, but he didn’t.”
Well, if Canales can coach at least half as well as he can sing, every little thing is going to be alright in Carolina.
