Watch: Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord finds Carnell Tate for a touchdown

The hype surrounding Ohio State early enrolling freshman Carnell Tate has been building all spring.

For the majority of the Scarlet and Gray spring game, Tate was held in check.  That all ended during the third quarter as presumed starting quarterback Kyle McCord found Tate on a pretty throw into the end zone for the first score through the air.

It was a great finish for Tate’s first spring, one that could very well vaunt him into a solid role during the actual season. The 6-foot, 2-inch and 180 pound receiver was rated as the 9th best at his position and 59th overall according to the 247Sports composite.
