The best part of watching the draft every year is seeing the calls the players receive from the teams. Things are no different in the 2023 NFL draft, and the Cleveland Browns have shared the call they made to Ohio State offensive tackle Dawand Jones.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski shared this sentiment with Jones on the call:
“Hey, big man are you ready to get to work? You’re coming up the road, you know how to get here I know that. We are excited to bring you here, you are part of the family and we are excited to have you. It’s time to get to work.”
Jones fell to the fourth round despite being a second round talent due to concerns about his desire for the game and work ethic. Sharing the same sentiment as Stefanski, it’s time to get to work.
