Ohio State football is currently limping to victory against the Akron Zips at halftime (there’s still time) and although the demeanor around the season opener is more on the somber side, there is some reason to celebrate. This year is the 50th anniversary of Archie Griffin winning the 1974 Heisman Trophy.
Griffin has done so much for Ohio State, including continuing to contribute in the community even after his playing days and it is nice to see him join the select few non band members celebrated by ‘dotting the i’ at halftime.
In case you missed the memorable moment, you can catch it thanks to the Big Ten Network’s social media post.

Griffin is just as good of a person off the field as he was a player on it, so seeing him celebrated in this fashion makes everything right in the scarlet and gray universe.
