NEW DELHI: Gujarat Titans (GT) left-arm spinner Noor Ahmad is having a dream run in the ongoing IPL as he got rid of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) big-hitter Shivam Dube with a gem of a delivery during Qualifier 1 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday.
The incident took place in the 12th over of the innings when Noor Ahmad bowled a full-length delivery that landed on the off-stump. The ball spun sharply, deceiving Dube, and went through his defences before knocking over the leg-stump, leading to his dismissal.
Earlier, GT skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl against MS Dhoni-led CSK.
Darshan Nalkande replaced Yash Dayal in the GT playing XI while CSK are unchanged.
The winner of the match will directly qualify to the final whereas the losing side will get another opportunity to compete in the Qualifier 2, to be held on May 24 in Ahmedabad.
