New Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile has arrived at the team facility and has a brief but important message for fans:

“Can’t wait to get to work” is a quick message, but one that fits Campanile well.
“If you go to him and tell him your goals and aspirations, he is going to make sure every day that you wake up and your face is in that book and put your feet in that turf, and that you do what you have got to do to get there,” said Packers’ defensive lineman Rashan Gary.
Campanile joins the Jaguars after spending the 2024 season with the Green Bay Packers as their linebackers coach and run game coordinator.
In his one season with the team, Packers’ rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper made a quick impact as he was named a two time NFC Defensive Player of The Week and the NFC’s Rookie of the month in December.
Green Bay also saw third-year linebacker Quay Walker make strides as the season went on in his new role as the team’s Mike linebacker. In the run game, in coverage, and as a blitzer, Walker was doing a bit of everything in the middle of the Packers’ defense.
Against the run, meanwhile, the Packers defense as a whole ranked third in yards per carry allowed.
Before joining the Packers’ coaching staff, Campanile was the Miami linebackers coach from 2020-2023. Working under Brian Flores, Vic Fangio, and Jeff Hafley in his career should equip Campanile with an adaptable and wide-ranging defensive scheme having operated in variety of different systems.
“He’s a guy that’s going to get you ready to go, man,” said Gary. “He’s a guy that’s going to really make you focus on the details, and like I said, there’s never going to be a dull day with him.”
