It wasn’t pretty at times, but in the end Michigan State picked up another blowout victory on Thursday night.
The Spartans used huge scoring runs in both the first and second halves to earn a 96-60 victory over Niagara on Thursday. Michigan State dominated down low, finishing the game with a 52-to-20 advantage in the paint.
Jaxon Kohler had a career game for the Spartans, finishing with career highs in points (20) and rebounds (13) to lead Michigan State in both stats. Four other Spartans also reached double-digits in scoring in the win.
Michigan State will now turn its focus to No. 1 Kansas as its next opponent. The Spartans and Jayhawks will tangle in Atlanta on Tuesday as part of the annual Champions Classic event.
