It comes after midfielder Harry Winks refused to stay overnight once a week at the club's training ground, leading him to be 'axed' from Ruud van Nistelrooy's first team, claimed the Telegraph earlier this month.
Hart and Sutton clashed: "I've never known anything like it," said the latter.
"You can't keep saying, Joe, it's the modern player and they're entitled to think like that. It's just completely wrong."
Hart replied: "I'm not saying what's right or wrong... But they'd have some sort of reasoning that they'd have discussed with their agent and gone, 'I'm not comfortable with this'. This is the world that we live in now."

Hart and Sutton have made over 340 Celtic appearances combined.
The two Englishmen both represented their country and won several pieces of silverware north of the border.
"It is definitely not physical, I feel fine," Hart told Sutton after he retired just under a year ago.
"I just felt that this was my moment. I felt really uncomfortable knowing it and not telling the manager or the lads. I wanted to say it and I wanted everyone to understand why I was doing it.
“I told Stevie Woods after the St Mirren cup game and I went to tell him and I couldn’t. I was crying. He thought there was a family emergency or something. I managed to snivel out what I was doing. Obviously, he was shocked but he was very understanding. I appreciate the understanding of this place. It just felt like the right time."
