Watch: Moment drug dealer caught with 20 bags of cocaine hidden in his car sun visor

A drug dealer caught with 20 bags of cocaine hidden in the sun visor of his car has been sentenced to over two and a half years in prison.

Alehandro Zeneli, 21, was stopped in his car by a City of London Police officer after behaving suspiciously at around 6.30pm on Farringdon Street on August 15.

Officers with the help of a police dog found 20 sealed bags of cocaine stashed in the sun visor of the vehicle and £360 in the centre console.

Footage shared by City of London Police showed bags of cocaine being pulled out from behind the mirror of the sun visor.

Two mobile phones were also recovered, with one of the devices showing messages that suggested drug dealing.

Zeneli, of no fixed address, was sentenced at the Old Bailey to 32 months in prison, convicted of possession with intent to supply class A drugs as well as driving without insurance and driving without a licence.

The stop was made by officers from the City of London Police’s Targeted Intercept and Tactical ANPR (TITAN) team.

TITAN targets high-risk offenders using the City’s extensive camera network to track down vehicles linked to criminal activity.

City of London Police chief inspector Jo Cas said: “City of London Police officers will proactively target offenders and we will take action to disrupt and purse those involved in the supply of Class A drugs on the streets of London

“This sentencing should send a message to those involved in drug dealing, you will be arrested, charged and sent to prison.”
