Medical personnel were forced to cut off a Miami Dolphins player's jersey on the field after suffering a scary hit during the team's game against the Houston Texans Sunday.

Receiver Grant DuBose had to be taken off the field on a stretcher after his helmet collided with the helmet of Texans safety Calen Bullock. DuBose's head appeared to hit the ground hard after the play, as reported by the Associated Press.

The player was placed in a neck brace, and appeared to have an oxygen tube placed in his nose when he was taken off the field, as reported by Yahoo! Sports.

The Miami Dolphins said in a statement to X that DuBose had suffered a "head injury," but is in stable condition and was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

The play during Sunday's game happened after the Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa attempted to pass to DuBose in the third quarter. The Texans had a 20-6 lead at the time.

Bullock was penalized for unnecessary roughness.

The Texans ended up winning the game 20-12.
