Los Angeles Lakers wing Max Christie flashed his promise this past season in spot duty, but many feel he is poised for a bigger role this fall.
He has been making a very nice impression during summer league play so far this offseason. He had 17 points, six rebounds and four assists in the team’s first summer league game on Monday, and he followed it up with a very efficient 25 points on Wednesday versus the San Antonio Spurs.
Christie, a second-round draft pick in 2022, has been mixing it up nicely at all three levels so far this summer. But on Friday against the Golden State Warriors, he drove down the middle and served up a nasty facial.

At halftime of the contest, he had 14 points on 4-of-7 field goal shooting and 5-of-5 from the free throw line as Los Angeles led 50-44.
