A return to Greece was sanctioned, and in Olympiacos' game in the country's top flight against AEK Athens tonight, Palma netted his first goal for the club.

Cutting in from the left-hand side, the 25-year-old's effort found the far corner via the post.

It remains to be seen where Palma's long-term future lies.

Olympiacos possess no option to buy the attacker at the end of his loan spell, although Brendan Rodgers has the likes of James Forrest, Yang Hyun-jun, Daizen Maeda, Nicolas Kuhn and Jota available to him in the wide areas at Celtic.

The upcoming summer will be key in Palma's career.
