After the February NBA trade deadline, it seemed like the relationship between LeBron James, Lonzo Ball and the rest of the young players on the Los Angeles Lakers was fractured because of the very public Anthony Davis trade rumors.
While the team’s record and overall energy since the trade deadline might say otherwise, they seem to be in a good place. During the Lakers’ game against the New York Knicks on Sunday, Ball and James could be seen having a laugh on the bench after messing up a handshake.
It’s a small gesture, sure, but one that suggests that Ball and James can have a good working relationship going forward. That’s a positive sign in regards to Ball’s future in Los Angeles.
