Lizzo made history on Tuesday (September 27) after the Library of Congress let her play a 200-year-old crystal flute originally owned by James Madison, during her concert in Washington, DC.
The Truth Hurts singer revealed she became the first person to play the musical instrument in two centuries as she treated fans to an impromptu performance.
Sharing the special moment on social media, the 34-year-old excitedly captioned the clip: “YALL.. THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS LET ME PLAY THEIR HISTORIC 200 YEAR OLD CRYSTAL FLUTE ON STAGE TONIGHT.
“NO ONE HAS EVER HEARD WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE… NOW YOU DO.”
