Jerry Jacobs entered Week 4 with one career interception. Early into the second quarter, the former Arkansas cornerback doubled his career total.
On first-and-10 from the Green Bay Packers’ 10-yard line with 14:01 in the quarter, Jacobs picked off a tipped pass from quarterback Jordan Love. Outside linebacker Alex Anzalone disrupted the trajectory, and Jacobs fielded the turnover at the Green Bay 27 and posted a 20-yard return — first-and-goal for Jared Goff and the offense from the 7-yard line.
The Lions entered Thursday night tied for the third-fewest takeaways in the league with two. With one down early in the second, Detroit could add another and climb up in the turnover rankings.
