Australian-born punter Nick McLarty has a big leg, one that he showed off last year during a 90-yard punt.
McLarty, who looks more like an edge rusher, joined Ohio State this weekend as part of their 2024 recruiting class. He went viral this past fall for booming a punt that went outside the stadium.
The video received almost 500,000 views on X, the social media platform that was formerly known as Twitter.
Even if this isn’t exactly 90 yards, it is still beyond impressive. Now can that translate to a game?
Truthfully, given how good their offense is, Ohio State will rarely if ever have to punt the ball this distance. Only when they’re playing Michigan.
Too soon, Ohio State fans?
Can McLarty directionally kick? That might be the bigger question, especially when an Ohio State drive stalls near midfield and the Buckeyes want to play for field position.

But at 6-foot-7, the bigger question might be if McLarty can play tight end for Ohio State.
