Watch: Lanarkshire care homes' Sweet Caroline rendition welcome Music Festival

Good times never seemed so good for elderly residents at two Lanarkshire care homes.

For, along with fellow residents from Renaissance Care Group's homes across Scotland, those at Uddingston's Croftbank and Rosepark facilities banded together to record their own touching version of Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline to launch their summer Music Festival.

The month-long initiative will encourage residents and staff to use song and dance to improve their health and wellbeing.

A spokesperson for Renaissance Care Group said: "The aged residents will also be getting their festive gear on and boogying on down to silent discos, live performances and some golden oldies in their homes which will be turned into the ultimate festival experience.”

Rosepark and Croftbank care homes regularly host fun events for their residents including birthday and anniversary celebrations, garden fun, health and wellbeing initiatives and parties for events such as the Queen's Platinum Jubillee and the Olympics.
