Watch Kasper Schmeichel in blistering form for Denmark in Serbia stalemate

Kasper Schmeichel was in fine form on international duty as Denmark and Serbia drew 0-0 in their latest UEFA Nations League encounter.

The point was enough for the Celtic goalkeeper and his teammates to secure progression to the competition's quarter-finals, with the 38-year-old having played a huge hand in keeping his side in contention.

Inside the opening six minutes alone, Schmeichel made a flurry of top-class saves at his far and near post, and was typically vocal in commanding his area throughout.

At the other end, second-string Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic – currently on loan at French Ligue 1 outfit Strasbourg – was equally impressive between the sticks, likewise keeping his side in the match on a handful of occasions.

After the match, Schmeichel expressed delight in Denmark's performance as a team, posting the following message on social media (translated via Google): "Fantastic to end the national team year with qualification for the Nations League quarter-finals.

"Thank you for your support throughout the year – see you in 2025."

Since signing for Celtic in the summer transfer window, Schmeichel has become one of Celtic's most important and consistent players.
