This game started with a sight that Vikings fans are all too familiar with. A turnover.
Kirk Cousins was trying to find Addison on a slant to keep the opening drive going, but instead, the ball found itself in the hands of Charvarius Ward.
The defense bounced back and caused a turnover of their own with a fumble to running back Christian McCaffery and Minnesota didn’t let the opportunity go to waste.
Behind a balanced attack that involved everyone on the Vikings offense, Minnesota drove down the field in ten plays for 89 yards and took up a little over six minutes of game time. The drive was encapsulated by the Addison crossing route and the Vikings take the lead early.
