The Minnesota Vikings flipped to a new week by holding their first practice with pads.
Despite that addition, rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison continued to make highlight-worthy plays.
On Monday, the Vikings’ Twitter account posted a play from training camp that featured Addison hauling in a throw from Kirk Cousins while safety Lewis Cine attempted to jar the ball loose.

Although it’s early into camp, the first-round selection has impressed. Addison even opened training camp with a diving catch from Cousins, which also made social media accounts.
After releasing veteran Adam Thielen during the off-season, the Vikings are heavily investing in Addison to become a reliable target early on. If the initial returns are any indication, it seems like the Vikings will see some early returns on those investments.
Addison was selected with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and split his time in college between USC and Pittsburgh. In 2021, Addison won the 2021 Biletnikoff Award, given to the best wide receiver in a season.
