Before the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles played in Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana, jazz and soul singer Jon Batiste performed an excellent rendition of the national anthem.

Batiste is a Louisiana native who studied at Juilliard. He was the bandleader and musical director for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for seven years and co-composed Pixar’s animated film Soul.
