Jared Verse has had some trouble getting to the quarterback for sacks, recording only one in his first six games despite leading the team with 27 pressures. Despite his lack of sacks, he’s still having an absolutely outstanding rookie season.
He showed up once again on Thursday night against the Vikings, recording his second sack of the year and his first since Week 1. His effort and pursuit was fantastic, but the celebration after dragging Sam Darnold down might’ve been even better.
With plenty of Vikings fans in attendance at SoFi Stadium, Verse taunted them with his own version of the Skol chant, a perfect show of awareness from the rookie pass rusher.
