Philadelphia Eagles fans heard what Jared Verse said about them and they let him know before kickoff on Sunday.
Not that he cares, of course.
Verse said he hates Eagles fans and called them “so annoying,” which Sean McVay didn’t have a problem with. Those in Philadelphia took exception to Verse’s comments and the boo birds rained down on the rookie edge rusher as he walked around Lincoln Financial Field before Sunday’s game.
He unsurprisingly embraced it, much like Matthew Stafford did when the Lions’ faithful booed him in Detroit last postseason. Verse welcomed the boos and even chirped back at Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter.
Couldn’t make out what #Eagles DT Jalen Carter said but it didn’t appear to be a welcome message. Verse saying, “I’ll take that 77 for next round” is in reference to the $77,000 each player receives for a conference championship appearance. https://t.co/jncI3X3V8W
