Welcome to the NFL, Jameson Williams.
Though the rookie receiver technically made his debut last week, he only played eight offensive snaps and didn’t catch a pass. On Sunday against the Vikings, he announced himself with a spectacular play on his first career reception.
Williams broke wide open deep down the field and caught the bomb from Jared Goff for a 41-yard touchdown, putting the Lions up 7-0 over the Vikings early.
The Lions drafted Williams 12th overall this year, knowing he would miss most of the season after suffering a torn ACL in the national championship game in January. Now healthy, Williams should have a sizable impact on offense the rest of the way.
