Watch: James Robinson breaks free for longest TD of his career

James Robinson’s comeback tour continued Sunday with a 50-yard touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers, the longest of his still-young NFL career.

After picking up 44 rushing yards on 10 carries in the first half, Robinson’s first carry of the second half came on a fourth-and-short at midfield. He burst through the left side of the Jaguars offensive line and ran untouched for a huge touchdown to give the team a 23-10 lead.

Jaguars right guard Brandon Scherff pulled across the formation on the play and only needed to block Chargers cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. to spring Robinson on the play.

Robinson set a personal best just a week ago when he scored a 37-yard touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts. That was the longest touchdown of his career for just seven days before he topped that number against the Chargers.

With the score, Robinson joined Natrone Means, Maurice Jones-Drew, and Jimmy Smith as the only four players to score four touchdowns in the first three games of a Jaguars season.
