Videos showed supercars revving their engines as huge crowds of people gathered at a 'car meet' in Stockport.
The clips posted to Snap Maps showed the cars including Ferraris and Lamborghinis parading down roads around the Great Portwood Street area last night (Tuesday) as 'hundreds' of people watched on. Footage showed the the high-end vehicles parked up near the Peel Centre retail park and the Tesco supermarket while drivers revved the engines for onlookers.
In one clip, dozens of people could be seen gathered near a police van. In another, crowds gathered and filmed a person in the centre of the crowd.

Great Portwood Street had to be closed off as the incident unfolded last night, with drivers reporting gridlocked traffic in the surrounding areas. A huge police presence was reported with the helicopter spotted over the area.
Youtuber and DJ 'DMO Deejay' shared clips to his Instagram story about the 'car meet'. He posted several videos to his page about the 'link up', with one showing dozens of people gathered around him.
Multiple people posted about the incident on social media and speculated about what was happening. On Facebook, one person wrote: 'Stockport is rammed with cars bikes and feds!'.
Another posted: 'What’s going on in Stockport? Cars and bikes racing around, backfiring, the road that the Peel Centre is on shut by police'. Another person shared: 'Does anyone know what’s happened at the Peel Centre in Stockport? Loads of police and it’s all blocked off in all directions!!'.
An eyewitness said: "There were hundreds of people, if not more. Honestly when I first drove by I thought there’d been a big incident." MancTraffic tweeted on Tuesday: "Severe congestion in Stockport Town Centre due to a Car Meet: *A560 Great Portwood St CLOSED *A6188 St Mary's Way n/b gridlocked onto Portwood Rbt *M60 ac/w j27 exit slow *Tesco car park off Tiviot Way stuffed. Police on scene."
Greater Manchester Police have not yet issued a statement on the incident. The Manchester Evening News contacted DMO Deejay for a comment last night.
