INDIANAPOLIS — It isn’t often that looks can be deceiving when it comes to speed.
Such was the case for Houston Cougars wideout Tank Dell at the NFL combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Daytona Beach Mainland High School product ran a 4.50 unofficial time for his 40-yard dash Sunday evening.
Dell had a productive 2022 utilizing his speed as he caught 109 passes for 1,398 yards and 17 touchdowns through 13 games.
The Texans did not meet with Dell while at the NFL combine. However, Dell views himself as a Houstonian and would gladly be a part of completing the rebuild under new coach DeMeco Ryans and third-year general manager Nick Caserio.
