The score may have been lopsided, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t some positive and exciting plays from the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday night. While they lost to the Chargers, 34-17, a handful of rookies stood out and made big plays for the Rams in the loss.
Stetson Bennett was definitely among them, as were Puka Nacua and Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson.
The Rams gained 263 total yards of offense compared to 315 by the Chargers, but 214 of the Chargers’ yards came on the ground, so the Rams did a decent job defending the pass. And although it took a little while for the offense to settle in, Bennett got things on track and led two scoring drives.
