It was closer than the experts thought, but Michigan State was able to get another conference win on Wednesday.
The Spartans survived a late push from Penn State to win 90-85 on Wednesday night from the Breslin Center. Michigan State never trailed in the game but also never was able to pull away from the Nittany Lions in the win.
Michigan State improved to 15-2 overall and 6-0 in Big Ten play with the win. The Spartans have now won 10 straight games following the victory over Penn State.
Michigan State was led in scoring by Frankie Fidler (18 points) and Jaden Akins (16 points). Jeremey Fears also had another strong night leading the team with eight points and seven assists.
