NEW DELHI: Indian cricket's dynamic all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, celebrated his 30th birthday on Wednesday.
The birthday festivities took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, adding an extra layer of excitement to the already electrifying atmosphere as India geared up to face Afghanistan in the ongoing World Cup. Former India batter Gautam Gambhir and renowned commentator Jatin Sapru, joined the revelry, making it an unforgettable occasion.
Official World Cup broadcaster, Star Sports, captured the festive spirit and shared a video of the celebration. In the video, Hardik Pandya is seen cutting a birthday cake.
"First time in my life, I will be playing a match on my birthday. Let's see, it will be enjoyable," Hardik said after cutting the cake.
On the occasion, the Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI) secretary, Jay Shah, took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to convey his heartfelt wishes and praise the cricketer's unwavering determination and "never-give-up attitude."

Hardik, who made his T20I debut against Australia on January 26, 2016, and his ODI debut later that same year on October 16 against New Zealand, has been a prominent figure in the Indian cricketing arena.
In the ODI format, he has played 83 matches, amassing 1,769 runs with an average of 34.01. He has also made his mark as a bowler, claiming 80 wickets at an economy rate of 5.53.
Hardik has been an integral part of the T20I team, featuring in 92 matches. He has displayed his batting prowess with 1,348 runs, including three half-centuries, and has proven to be a valuable asset with the ball, taking 73 wickets at an economy rate of 8.16.
In Test cricket, the all-rounder has showcased his capabilities in 11 matches, scoring 532 runs with an average of 31.29, which includes one century and four fifties. He has also contributed to the bowling department with 17 wickets.
In addition to his international success, Hardik Pandya has shone in the Indian Premier League (IPL), captaining the Gujarat Titans to victory in the tournament. In 123 IPL matches, he has scored 2,309 runs with an average of 30.38 and has taken 53 wickets.
