MMA fighter and boxer Francis Ngannou couldn’t resist poking fun at his friend and Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana after visiting Old Trafford.
Ngannou attended his first-ever Manchester United game on Thursday night, where the Red Devils picked up a 3-1 victory over Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt.
The Cameroon-born star was invited by Onana to watch the Europa League clash, which also marked Ruben Amorim’s home debut as United manager.
While the five-goal thriller entertained the fans, Ngannou was particularly amused by Onana’s late yellow card for time-wasting — a moment he hilariously highlighted during a post-match interview with TNT Sports.
“He [Onana] had a great game, even though he took a yellow card for free,” Ngannou quipped with a laugh, teasing his mate about the way he managed the final moments of the game.

The Ngannou-Onana Connection
Francis Ngannou’s visit to Old Trafford wasn’t just about football — it also reflected the bond he shares with Andre Onana.
The goalkeeper, who has faced his share of ups and downs since joining United, seemed delighted to host his friend at one of football’s most iconic venues.
Ngannou, fresh off his recent foray into professional boxing, brought his characteristic charisma to the occasion. His presence drew attention from fans at a time where a positive atmosphere seems to be growing around the team under Amorim.
Onana and his teammates now turn their focus to Everton on Sunday, with the Cameroonian shot-stopper likely to hear more light-hearted ribbing from Ngannou if he picks up another caution.
For now, though, Manchester United fans and their celebrity guest can savour a night of goals and drama at Old Trafford.
