Watch former Celtic star Erik Sviatchenko grab Midtjylland leveller at Feyenoord to claim big point

Erik Sviatchenko was the FC Midtjylland hero as his stunning flicked header claimed a priceless Europa League point.

The former Celtic star - captain at his current club - levelled just before the hour mark after guiding a deep free-kick into the far corner of the net. Emiliano Martinez had fired the Danes in front but goals from Quinten Timber and David Hancko turned the tie in favour of the home side, but the defender nodded home to claim a share of the spoils in a four-goal thriller.

It is the second time in the space of seven days the duo have shared four goals after an identical result last week on matchday three. Sviatchenko and his troops are right in the mix for qualifying in arguably the closest group in the competition. Incredibly all four sides are sitting on five points after four games with two huge rounds of fixtures to come.

The ex-Celtic defender has already made the headlines this season by scoring in Midtjylland's famous 5-1 win over Lazio earlier in the campaign with the duo set to meet once again at the Stadio Olimpico on matchday five before the Danes end their Europa League group stage campaign with a home clash against SK Sturm Graz..

Things may be going well in Europe for the Danish Superliga side but domestically they have faltered. They currently sit fifth in the league standings after 12 games.

They trail leaders Nordsjaelland by seven points at present after winning just four of their league outings to date.

Horsens are next up before a Danish Cup third round clash with FA 2000. It's then a trip to Copenhagen before that crucial away day at Lazio on October 27.
