The Atlanta Falcons have a head coach vacancy to fill, but fans are hoping the team keeps defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen around after the team’s defensive resurgence in 2023.
While we don’t know what the future holds for Atlanta’s coaching staff, we do know safety Jessie Bates will be around for at least another three seasons. Bates signed a four-year contract with the Falcons over the offseason and immediately elevated the unit to another level.
In his debut with the team, Bates grabbed two interceptions in a Week 1 win over the Panthers. The play-making safety finished the season with a career-high six interceptions. Watch all six of Bates’ interceptions from the 2023 season below.
