Remember a few years back when Kevin Harlan called both a Chiefs game AND a Patriots contest at the same time on CBS thanks to a split screen?
Well, I guess we’d say that Karl Ravech pulled a Kevin Harlan on Sunday night.
The reason? The playoff game between the Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers was starting on ESPN2, but with ESPN carrying the end of Sunday Night Baseball, the flagship network needed to keep airing the Red Sox and Cardinals contest.
So ESPN gave us a split screen as the puck dropped on what ended up being an Oilers loss, and Ravech had to call a goal as the Red Sox game was close to starting up:
