Sunday’s matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers pitted a 44-year-old quarterback against a 37-year-old safety – the latter of whom has been retired for the last two years. Tom Brady squared off with Eric Weddle, with Weddle’s squad getting the better of the Bucs, 30-27.
After the game, Weddle and Brady came together on the field for a quick postgame chat, wishing each other well. It was also a funny exchange between two guys who played each other several times when both were in the AFC.
Brady congratulated Weddle on the win and said, “You’ve got to be sore as (expletive).”
Weddle laughed and said, “I just didn’t expect to be playing so much. Why you gotta make it a game, bro?”
"You've got to be sore." 😂
Just a couple of seasoned vets showing love. @TomBrady @weddlesbeard

There’s very clearly a high level of respect between these two veterans, and that was on display after the Rams’ playoff win over the Buccaneers.
