New England Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye was able to drop an absolute dime into the arms of fellow rookie Ja’Lynn Polk at Tuesday’s scrimmage against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The pass was caught over Eagles cornerback Shon Stephens during the one-on-one period. Maye dropped back and uncorked a deep ball that only Polk could get to in the end zone.
Polk showed off his strong hands in the preseason opener, and he did so once again on this incredible connection with Maye. It wasn’t the best scrimmage for the Patriots offensively, but this play in particular excited the live crowd.

Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come for New England.
The Patriots have desperately needed an upgrade at the wide receiver position. They are putting a lot of hope in the development of players like Polk and Javon Baker to be immediate hits this season.
