Week 2 is well underway as the Seattle Seahawks are facing the New England Patriots in Foxboro. It is Seattle’s first trip back to Gillette Stadium since the 2016 campaign.
The Patriots had the first strike, scoring a touchdown on their second possession to take an early 7-0 lead over the Seahawks. However, Geno Smith and Co. answered the bell accordingly.
On the fourth play of Seattle’s second possession, Smith was facing a 2nd-and-5. Smith dropped back, and found a wide open DK Metcalf for an explosive 56-yard touchdown… the longest scoring play of the young season for the Seahawks.

It is also the first touchdown of the year for Metcalf, who already eclipsed his yardage output from Week 1. When the Seahawks are able to get Metcalf going, this offense becomes truly dynamic.
At the time of publishing, the first quarter has come to a conclusion. We are tied at 7-7 with New England marching. The Patriots will have the ball at Seattle’s 47-yard line.
