A Florida man led police on one of the slowest chases ever after he kicked a passenger out and was involved in a hit-and-run, deputies said.
The Sept. 25 incident began after investigators said that Kyle McNary, 33, had stopped to switch drivers, but as his passenger walked around to the driver's side, McNary kicked him out and drove off, as reported by CBS 12.
Later, about four miles away from that incident, McNary was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run at a different intersection after his SUV stopped suddenly, causing a crash that left one person seriously injured.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook that they found McNary driving slowly. The office said McNary took deputies and police from the Burnell Police Department "on one of the slowest chases in history."
Even after using stop sticks on the suspect, McNary continued to move slowly until eventually becoming stuck in a ditch. From there, body camera footage shows deputies giving McNary loud verbal warnings, which they said he ignored.
Deputies said McNary began to comply after they used a Shatterball to break his rear window. McNary was handcuffed and arrested in the pouring rain.
"This dirtbag has a history of threatening and attacking Deputy Sheriffs, and during his recent criminal act he seriously injured a person in a crash, and we wish them a speedy recovery," Sheriff Rick Staly said in the post. "But for McNary it looks like he needs an extended stay at the Green Roof Inn so he doesn't injure anyone else or kill someone with his actions."
McNary was originally arrested for failure to stop and remain at a crash involving serious bodily injury and fleeing and eluding law enforcement, among other charges. He received additional charges, such as battery on a law enforcement officer, after being discharged from the hospital following a medical complaint. He is being held without bond.
