To say the Rams defense dominated the Cardinals in the first 23 minutes of the game would be a massive understatement. They held Arizona to minus-1 yard on its first five possessions, and its fifth drive was by far the worst.
On third-and-7, Kyler Murray threw an unbelievably bad pass while being tackled in the end zone, and David Long Jr. didn’t miss on the gift from Arizona’s young quarterback. Long picked off Murray’s desperation heave and returned it 3 yards for the touchdown, putting the Rams up 21-0 midway through the second quarter.
It’s one of the weirdest pick-sixes you’ll see and a massive play in the game for the Rams.
