Watch: Conor McGregor speaks from hospital bed in trailer for Netflix series ‘McGregor Forever’

UFC star Conor McGregor is featured in a new series documenting the recovery from his gruesome broken, which premieres on Netflix next month.

McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) broke his left lower tibia and fibula in a first-round TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. An enraged McGregor lobbed threats at Poirier before he was stretchered out to have emergency surgery.

Almost two years later, fans will get to re-live McGregor’s injury and the moments after in “McGregor Forever,” a documentary series coming out May 17 on Netflix. In it, McGregor speaks from his hospital bed and admits that his adrenaline was at a massive high, and that he feared his career could be over.

Check out the trailer below courtesy of McGregor’s Instagram:

“You heard it here first. My brand new documentary series McGregor Forever, is coming to @Netflix on May 17! The only place to hear my true story, which is just getting started!”

McGregor hasn’t competed since the injury stoppage loss to Poirier. He recently finished filming and coaching “The Ultimate Fighter 31” opposite Michael Chandler, whom he’s expected to fight later in the year.

McGregor, 34, has yet to re-enter the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency testing pool. A mandatory six-month testing period is required before he’s eligible to compete.
