Mitchell Tinsley made the Washington Commanders’ 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent one year ago. Unfortunately for Tinsley, he didn’t have much of a chance to prove himself, appearing in only two games for the Commanders.
In those two games, Tinsley played more special teams snaps (7) than offensive snaps (3).
Tinsley made Washington’s 53-man roster last summer after a strong training camp and preseason. Tinsley has continued that momentum with another strong start to training camp. However, Tinsley will need another impressive preseason to earn a spot on the 53-man roster again.
During Friday’s practice, Tinsley showed off his skills on a pass from quarterback Jayden Daniels, putting a move on cornerback Kyu Blu Kelly.

With moves like that, it will be difficult to keep Tinsley off the roster. The Commanders only have three locks at wide receiver: Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, and Luke McCaffrey. Three, or possibly four, spots are up for grabs.
Can Tinsley win another roster again in 2024?
