Can the Washington Commanders (4-6) avenge their Week 7 loss against the New York Giants (2-8)?
From an offensive perspective, the Commanders look like a completely different team than the one from four weeks ago. While Washington has lost two of those three games, don’t blame quarterback Sam Howell or the offense. Howell has passed for 1,034 yards with eight touchdowns in the previous three games.
In the first meeting, Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale got the best of Commanders offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy with his pressure packages. Washington made adjustments and has done much better protecting Howell since. For his part, Howell has also been better at reducing the sacks.
