WATCH: Commanders running back Brian Robinson score with a fantastic effort

The Washington Commanders selected Alabama running back Brian Robinson Jr. in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft to give their offense the perfect complement to Antonio Gibson.

Robinson flashed in the preseason, exciting his coaches and teammates with his power and vision. Unfortunately, Robinson was shot on Aug. 28 in an attempted robbery in Washington, D.C., and he would begin his rookie season on the NFI list.

Miraculously, Robinson underwent surgery, missed the minimum of four games, and returned to practice in time for Washington’s Week 5 game against Tennessee.

Robinson rushed for 219 yards and a touchdown through his first five NFL games. He had yet to have his breakout NFL game.

In the first half of Washington’s Week 10 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Robinson carried the football 16 times for 60 yards and a touchdown. That touchdown came late in the first half after an impressive feat of strength from Robinson to get the ball over the goal line and give the Commanders the lead.

Check it out.

Afterward, Robinson had some fun with the Eagles’ fans.
