Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is putting on a show against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night.
So far Mahomes is 12-of-16 passing for 119 yards and two touchdowns on the night. He’s been having his way with the vaunted Buccaneers’ defense thus far. Frankly, after the disappointing game in Week 3, the offense looks recharged and energized for this rematch of Super Bowl LV. They’ve had a long time to think about how that game got away from them. This performance has started out like Mahomes is out for major redemption.
Mahomes’ best play so far came on 2nd-and-goal. He escapes pressure, does a 360 and then lofts almost a jump-pass to Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the back of the endzone. It was some of that patented Mahomes Magic that we’ve all come to know and love. It was lacking a week ago, but it’s back in full force for Week 4.
