The Kansas City Chiefs took a two-score lead over the Denver Broncos on Thursday night when MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes found wide receiver Kadarius Toney for a touchdown late in the second quarter on Thursday night.
Mahomes, who threw an interception earlier in the matchup, needed to bounce back. His connection with Toney seemed to have gotten him back in rhythm with just minutes to spare before halftime.

While this score constituted the Chiefs’ first touchdown of the game, Kansas City has been in control of the Week 6 tilt since the first quarter, when they took an early three-point advantage over Denver on the strength of a Harrison Butker field goal.
For his part, Mahomes has looked good in the game despite his turnover, and this pass was a good indication that the All-Pro passer can still come through in the clutch to get the Chiefs points when it matters most.
