WATCH: Chiefs lineman warm up ahead of first practice in full pads

The Kansas City Chiefs are embarking on the second phase of their training camp process on Friday by conducting their first practice in full pads. This means that the team will be making contact during their workouts, practicing their craft the way it was intended to be played.

The good folks at Kansas City Sports Network, who were in attendance for Friday’s practice session, got some great footage of the Chiefs’ linemen warming up before workouts began and posted their video to Twitter.

This progression through training camp will be a sight for the sore eyes of fans who have patiently waited through the week for the team to begin running full-contact drills in earnest.

The practice field at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph is sure to be abuzz with highlight-reel plays and new developments in first and second-team positional groupings, so stay tuned to Chiefs Wire as we cover all the action from Friday’s workouts.
