The high-flying pick was a welcome sign of life for Kansas City’s defense, which seemed to be gasping for breath against New Orleans’ second and third-team offenses. Hailassie has been an unsung hero of the Chiefs’ defense in training camp but faces long odds to make Kansas City’s 53-man roster at the end of the preseason.
