WATCH: Chelsea 3-1 Wolves highlights

Watch the highlights as Chelsea beat Wolves comfortably 3-1 to move back into the top four of the Premier League.

Enzo Maresca’s side got off to a promising start and looked most likely to make the breakthrough in the first half.

Then, after 25 minutes, that’s exactly what they did when Tosin Adarabioyo picked up a wayward Reece James shot in the box to then finish smartly past Jose Sa.

The goal was initially given offside by the linesman before VAR correctly stepped in to award the Chelsea defender the goal.

But as the half was drawing to a close, Wolves grew in confidence. With six minutes of stoppage-time, Wolves pressured the host’s goal and was given a corner with less than a minute of time to be played.

As the corner was whipped in, Robert Sanchez made a mess of collecting the ball, dropping into into the six-yard area leaving Matt Doherty to prod home.

It was unnecessary pressure heaped onto the Blues going into the second half, but the home side kept their heads when they returned to the pitch.

On the hour mark, Chelsea restored their lead. Marc Cucurella started a Chelsea attack to then finish it moments later, making a lung-bursting run into the box to tuck the ball home unopposed on his 100th Premier League appearance for the club.

Five minutes later, Chelsea got their third. Trevoh Chalobah – on his return from his Crystal Palace loan – rose highest at a corner to nod the ball at goal. Noni Madueke then made sure to head the ball over the line from close range.

The result sees Chelsea climb back into the top four while Wolves are left above the relegation zone.

While this wasn’t Chelsea’s best performance, Enzo Maresca will be happy his side have stopped the rot.

The result sees them leapfrog Manchester City back into the top four. They are now four points behind the season’s surprise package Nottingham Forest.

For Wolves, it’s yet another defeat – their 14th of the Premier League season. They remain tied on 16 points with 18th-place Ipswich.

The Blues make the trip to the Etihad to face City this Saturday. Wolves are next back in action the same day, hosting Arsenal at Molineux.
