Celtic winger Mikey Johnston has fully kicked his stint over in Portugal into top gear with a fantastic afternoon in the Taca de Portugal for Vitoria Guimaraes.
The Parkhead academy product signed a new deal then joined the Liga Nos side on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window and has featured three times so far with one assist. He got the chance to shine in Portugal's premier knockout competition against lower league Canelas 2010, scoring a brace before half-time in the comfortable 3-1 victory.
His first goal was a piece of magic, defenders forced to back off him as he darted towards their goal from his own half. Johnstone then beat one defender, put the goalkeeper on his backside and slotted calmly into the bottom corner to give his side full control. The Celtic loanee added his team's third and his second of the day five minutes before half-time, broadcaster Sport TV exclaiming that 'nobody could stop him' on his march to the first strike.

Samuel pulled one back for the hosts who had Chico Sousa sent off as Vitoria ran out easy winners and progress to the fourth round.
Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou rates Johnston highly but understands the need for him to play regularly after some injury-hit seasons.
It was a good weekend for another of Celtic's winger options as James Forrest made it 100 goals for the club with his hat-trick in a 6-1 win against Hibs.
